Mountain Lumber's manufacturing facilities and headquarters are still located in Ruckersville and now Madison, Virginia – close to its historical roots.

Everything we do at Mountain Lumber is geared towards producing the best flooring products in the industry. It all starts with choosing superior wood.  From there, our craftsmen who have been committed to their trade at Mountain Lumber for years, transform the wood into fine custom flooring, combining their traditional skills with state of the art milling equipment. • Grade:  For over thirty years, we've used the same grading system issued by the Southern Pine Inspection Bureau in 1923.
• Uniform Kiln Drying:  Slowly and methodically kiln drying our wood to a 6-9% moisture content is a critical step in insuring consistency in the stability of our floors. Some inexperienced suppliers choose to eliminate this important process.
• Completely Useable Wood: The floor we send to you is meant to be used in its entirety. We hand-select the finest material, minimizing waste at the time of installation.
• Precision Millwork and Craftsmanship: Our experienced sawyers analyze every board, choosing not only the prettiest face, but also what best fits the specification of each truly custom floor.
• End-Matching: All of Mountain Lumber's precision milled flooring is end-matched. This extra step adds an accurately-squared end milled with a tongue and groove, allowing each board to be locked together for a smoother installation process.
